Strappy Dresses

A strappy dress is a sleeveless dress held up by thin straps — usually spaghetti-thin or slightly wider — leaving the shoulders, arms, and upper back exposed. At Pink City Prints, every strappy dress is cut in soft cotton and handcrafted in Jaipur using block printing, screen printing, and embroidery. By day, sandals, a straw bag, and a layered cuff of bracelets. By evening, a wedge heel and a statement earring. For cooler weather, layer a fitted long-sleeve top underneath or a denim jacket over the top — the strap detail still reads beneath.

Strappy dresses are made for the warmest days of the year — beach holidays, garden weddings, festival weekends, long lunches under the sun. The breathable cotton keeps the wearer cool; the artisan prints keep the look unmistakably considered.

Most of our strappy styles are cut to comfortably cover a standard bra strap, and many customers wear ours with a T-shirt bra. For elasticated-back designs, a multi-way or strapless bra offers more flexibility. Strap width is noted on each individual product page.

Handwash gently or use a cold-water delicate cycle inside out, ideally inside a mesh laundry bag to protect strap and underarm seams. Always air dry — never tumble — and avoid direct sunlight. Iron on the reverse only, and never directly over a shirred panel.
